I asked the barista “Could I have it for here, please?” She looked at her watch, glanced over the café and said, “You’re the last one today.” I expressed my thanks and enthusiasm for the porcelain cup, which always increases the experience. Sometimes being last is better than being first, at least when you are not in a race.
